The Road to Pittsburgh and Fallingwater: Grand Gardens
The Woods Garden Club 2025 bus trip will be to Pittsburgh via the WV Northern Panhandle and coming home via Fallingwater. In between there will be lots for everyone: photographers, birders, gardeners, students of architectural history, lovers of great ethnic food. We will leave conveniently from The Woods on Tuesday June 17, return on Thursday June 19, benefit from group savings and have another safe traveling adventure together for which our club is well known. Travelers must be 21 years of age but do not have to be members of the Woods Garden Club.

We will have a group rate for a block of rooms at the Homewood Suites where each room will be a King Suite with a pull out sofa bed and a kitchen. Located next to the Senator John Heinz History Center and relatively close to other attractions, it has a fitness center and indoor pool plus outdoor elevated patio with great views.

The hotel, a Hilton property, is located in the Strip District of Pittsburgh, which is full of restaurants, small shops, ethnic groceries, bake shops, pubs and distilleries. Dinner will be on your own for the first two nights, allowing you to sample what you wish. The Homewood has an evening social on Wednesday as well.

The exact cost of the trip will depend on the number of travelers in our final group. The cost of the bus and the driver will be a fixed expense that will need to be divided by the number of participants. The other expenses will be per person, but we will need to pay for them on your behalf in order to get the group rate.
At this time, we are estimating the member payment to us for the bus, admission fees, and most meals to be $435 or less and $450 or less for non-members.. On top of this you will add $204 (taxes included) per room per night for the King Suite. All rooms are double occupancy. The room payment will be due at hotel check-out. You will get your appropriate Hilton rewards for your stay.
To reserve a seat, you will make a non-refundable deposit of $100 per person and complete a brief registration form. The deposit and all payments to the club must be in cash or by check made payable to the Woods Garden Club. You will make your final payment by May 1st so that we can make the payments due from us. Unfortunately we do not accept credit or debit cards or bank transfers since there are fees connected with these payment options. Send your deposit to Woods Garden Club, c/o 130 Nemacolin Trail, Hedgesville, WV 25427. Ask any questions of us at woodsgardenclub@gmail.com.
We will continue to keep registrants informed as details are added to our plans and as we develop a final itinerary with departure and return times. You have our commitment to save as much as possible while still retaining the quality for which we are known. The trip is not a fundraiser for the club but rather a service to our community.
We hope you will consider coming along! Go to our registration form here.
